This original Sunflower two-block linocut print is handmade and handprinted by us onto 50% cotton professional printmakers paper. 
 
Bright, bold and warming, this design was originally hand-drawn in pen before being transferred onto a lino block. This was then carved for roughly 50 hours and finally printed in eco-friendly inks. An un-carved lino block is inked up and used to create the yellow background. Once dry, the sunflower is printed on top. 
 
The nature of linocut printmaking means that every print is subtly unique, with small variations that reflect the hand of the maker and the physical process of printing. This gives each piece its own character and sense of individuality. Printed in small batches, these works reflect a commitment to craftsmanship, sustainability, and a slower approach to making. 
 
This print comes mounted to fit a 50x70cm frame.
