Thistle Prints
This large, bold and prickly thistle print is of course inspired by our love for Scotland. Completely handmade from start to finish, each individual print is unique for you.
Growing up in Glasgow, one of Eleanors favourite flowers has always of course been the thistle. This thistle was handdrawn in pen, before being re-sized and transferred onto a lino block. This block took Eleanor 30 hours to carve. It was then printed in black ink onto white paper or silver ink onto black paper, using a brayer (roller).
Materials and sizing:
- Cranfield safe wash relief inks (black or silver)
- 35x50cm Fabriano Unica printmakers paper
- Traditional lino
- Swiss made Pfeil proffesional linocut tools
The print will come safely in recyclable and eco-friendly packaging.
Due to the unique nature of printmaking each print will differ slightly - making each one unique!

Packaging
Due to the size of this print, it will come packaged in a tube. Simply unroll the print the opposite way in which it came. Then place it down flat and lay heavy objects such as book ontop for a few hours to completely flatten the print.
