This limited edition reduction linocut print depicts a red squirrel, inspired by Britain's endangered species. Printed by hand onto paper, the work is made up of 7 layers of 7 colours. 
 
Reduction printmaking uses a single linoleum block to print every layer of colour. After each colour is printed, more of the block is carved away, making it impossible to return to earlier stages. This means every edition is unique and unrepeatable. This print is created using seven reduction stages and a total of seven colours, progressing through yellow, two orange tones, red, two brown tones, and finally a small hint of black in the eye. 
 
A total of 28 prints were produced, each subtly unique due to the nature of the reduction process.

Comes mounted to fit a 30 × 30 cm frame.
