This autumnal, bold, small pinecone card is totally handmade. Each piece is completely individual for you. Printed in gold or black. The gold ink catches the light beautifully and can look coppery in some lights. The colours complement each other to work well as a pair or individual.
 
The original pinecone came all the way from Romania where we had a competition to find the biggest pinecone in the forest. The winning pinecone was not quite this large but it was still so impressive that it travelled with us to England where it has stayed in our living room ever since. 
 
Years later Holly drew the pinecone in pen, re-sized it to fit A6, transferred it onto a lino block and spent the next 5 hours carving it out. A gold and black ink was used to ink up the block, and finally it was placed onto paper and a brayer (roller) was used to create the final image. 
 
Materials:
- Cranfield safe wash relief inks (gold and black)
- A6 plain white cards and enevelopes, left blank inside for your own message 
- Traditional lino
- Swiss made Pfeil proffesional linocut tools 
 
The print will come safely in recyclable and eco-friendly packaging. 
Due to the unique nature of printmaking each print will differ slightly - making each one unique!
