This bright, bold, autumnal A3 pinecone print is completely handmade and unique for you. Printed in gold, black or brown. The gold ink catches the light beautifully and can look coppery or golden depending on the time of day. 
 
The original pinecone came all the way from Romania where we had a competition to find the biggest pinecone in the forest. The winning pinecone was not quite this large but it was still so impressive that it travelled with us to England where it has stayed in our living room ever since. 
 
Years later Holly drew the pinecone in pen, re-sized it to fit an A3 sheet, transferred it onto a lino block and spent the next 35 hours carving it out. A gold, black and burnt sienna ink was used to ink up the block, and finally it was placed onto paper and rolled through a printing press to create the final image. 
 
Materials:
- Cranfield safe wash relief inks (gold, black, burnt sienna)
- A3 Fabriano Unica printmakers paper 
- Traditional lino
- Swiss made Pfeil proffesional linocut tools 
 
The print will come safely in recyclable and eco-friendly packaging. 
Due to the unique nature of printmaking each print will differ slightly - making each one unique!
