This limited edition reduction linocut print is inspired by the fleeting beauty of Magnolia blossoms and their short window of bloom each year. Printed by hand onto paper, the work reflects themes of impermanence, renewal, and the quiet drama of seasonal change.
 
Reduction printmaking uses a single linoleum block to print every layer of colour. After each colour is printed, more of the block is carved away, making it impossible to return to earlier stages. This means every edition is unique and unrepeatable. This print is created using seven reduction stages and a total of seven colours, progressing through blue, multiple pinks, green and browns. 
 
A total of 20 prints were produced, each subtly unique due to the nature of the reduction process
 
The print comes mounted to fit an A3 frame.
