Each bee on these cards are individually handprinted and handpainted. We use the same small bee lino block that was handdrawn and handcarved, but each bee is completely unique as no print can be the same. 
 
This little bee army started their journey as a pen drawing of a single bee, this bee was then transferred onto a lino block where Eleanor carved her out. The bee is then printed multiple times onto an A4 sheet of printmakers paper. The yellow is simply painted on in a yellow wash. The bees are then cut out individually, or in pairs of two and three, and stuck onto the plain brown cards. 
 
Materials and sizing:
- Cranfield safe wash relief inks (black)
- Yellow paint
- A6 plain brown cards and envelopes, left blank inside for your own message 
- Traditional lino
- Swiss made Pfeil proffesional linocut tools 
 
The print will come safely in recyclable and eco-friendly packaging. 
Due to the unique nature of printmaking each print will differ slightly - making each one unique!
